Make common PDF tasks easier to manage.
PDFs are convenient for sharing documents with a consistent page layout. When a file becomes awkward to send or organize, a simple workflow—checking the original, making one change, and reviewing the result—can help avoid surprises.
Start by checking the original
Open the PDF in a trusted reader and make sure it displays as expected. If the file is password-protected, damaged, or unusually large, the browser-based tools may not be able to process it. Keep a separate original so you can return to it if the exported version does not meet your needs.
Understand what PDF compression can do
PDF file size can come from embedded images, fonts, vector content, and other document data. Re-saving a PDF may reorganize the file, but it does not necessarily recompress images or remove unnecessary content. If the source is already optimized, the new file may be the same size or larger. Compare the sizes rather than assuming compression worked.
Merge documents in a deliberate order
Before combining files, decide the sequence in which the pages should appear. Add the PDFs in that order and check the numbered file list. After merging, open the new PDF and inspect the beginning, middle, and end to confirm the sequence is correct.
Extract just the pages you need
When only a few pages matter, use page numbers or ranges to create a smaller document. Page numbering starts at 1. For example, "1-3, 5" selects the first three pages and page five. Review the output to confirm that you selected the intended pages and that any required context has not been left behind.
Protect sensitive documents
The tools on PDFRemaster process files in the browser without sending them to any external server. Even so, use a device and browser you trust, keep your operating system up to date, and avoid handling highly sensitive records on shared or public computers. Never rely on a transformed PDF without checking it.
